After School Program

Pathfinder PTSA After School Program

Welcome to the 2018-2019 After School Program. We are thrilled to offer 25 diverse courses on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays this fall. Thank you to Pathfinder K-8 PTSA volunteers, as well as staff, who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to successfully adjust the structure of Pathfinder’s After School Program. We are excited to move this enrichment program forward with a full line-up of class choices open to all students once again.

Session Dates & Registration

Classes during the fall session will begin October 1 and run for eight weeks. There will be no classes on federal holidays, school in-service days and during the week of Thanksgiving. Please read the class description closely for scheduling details.

Registration runs from September 17-27. There is a once-per-session-per student $10 registration fee, and class payment is due at the time of registration.

Those students interested in Sing Out! Willy Wonka must register by Sunday, September 24, as that class runs nine weeks and begins September 24.

Scholarships are available but limited to two per class. Preference will be given to students eligible for free lunch. Any scholarship students not able to take the class of their choice this session, will have first chance to sign up for winter classes. If you would like a scholarship, please contact Assistant Principal Lisa Clayton

Parent Volunteers

We welcome volunteers to help get the kids checked in and to support the After School Program teachers. Unfortunately, we no longer have volunteer opportunities available in exchange for a decreased cost of class. This wasn’t financially sustainable. Please contact After School Program Coordinator, Maureen Clark at, if you’d like to volunteer.

After School Class Process

Your child’s safety is paramount for the After School Program. Maureen Clark, the After School Program Coordinator, will be on-site on class days to troubleshoot any issues that may arise. In general, the following process will exist:

  • After School Program teachers will meet their students in the Hub after school and escort them to the class.
  • Children attending Blazing Trails must first check into BT before reporting to the Hub.
  • Parents and guardians shall pick up their children in the classroom at the class ending time. Class locations will be emailed upon registration.
