The Year at a Glance
Pencil it in! This is your sneak peek at the fun, community, and connection the PTSA brings to our school year. From big traditions to little surprises, this is where you’ll get a sense of what’s ahead. Keep an eye out, join in when you can, and help make the year memorable for everyone!
September through December
The school year starts with excitement in the air and plenty of ways to connect. From popsicles at our Back-To-School social to celebrating the season in our garden during Harvest Festival, and cheering each other on at the Move-a-Thon. Fall is all about building community and making memories together.
September:
Back-To-School Social: We kick things off with popsicles on the playground! It’s the perfect way to meet your teacher, explore your new classroom(s), and connect with friends old and new.
Pathfinder at the Mariners: Pathfinder is going to absolutely take over T-Mobile Park when the Mariners host the Angels on Sunday September 27th. Join hundreds of other Pathfinder families for one of the biggest community nights of the year.
October:
Harvest Festival: Our annual celebration of the school garden brings families together to enjoy the harvest season. Potluck, Music and Fun— from pressing Apples to carving pumpkins!
November-December:
Craft Fair: Our young makers become mini-entrepreneurs! Students design and create their own crafts, then sell them in a festive, market-style setting right in the school cafeteria. It’s creativity, confidence, and community all rolled into one.
Door Decor: A beloved tradition that brings everyone together! Families, staff, friends, and alumni gather to handcraft beautiful wreaths. These one-of-a-kind creations are then sold at local markets and our school. Pathfinder is famous for our gorgeous creations.
January through March
Even when it’s chilly outside, our school stays warm with activities that bring us together. These months are filled with ways to connect and recharge.
January:
Read-A-Thon: Snuggle up with a good book and let the pages take you places! Students set reading goals, track their progress, and celebrate the joy of stories while fundraising.
February:
Small & Tall Dance: A special night just for our elementary students and their families… where the “Smalls” hit the dance floor with their “Talls.” Music, laughter, and memories that last long after the final song. This year our theme is “Let’s Pawty” to honor our love for animals, so get your wild outfits ready!
March:
Pathfinder Auction: Many of us missed the beloved Pathfinder auction last year so we’re going to bring it back! It’s a huge amount of work to organize, so if you’re interested in helping, please let us know as soon as you can!
April through June
April:
Science Fair/Pi Night: Curiosity meets community! Families team up to explore experiments, showcase projects, and share in the wonder of discovery. Plus a pie-themed potluck to honor Pi Day!
May:
Staff Appreciation Week: For our staff, we go all out! A whole week of celebrating the incredible team at Pathfinder with potlucks, flowers, appreciation notes, and so much more.
June:
Field Day: The funnest day of the year. Ask any kid. From water games, obstacle course, bubbles— every year we create the activities from scratch and always need a bunch of volunteers for this day so stay tuned so you can join us and make this day happen for our kiddos.
Pathfinder Picnic/New Family Welcome: To close the year we invite everyone into school to see an exhibit of all the incredible work the students have made throughout the year. Hold your tears.
