“LIKE” Showing at Pathfinder February 27th 6:30-8:30pm
Come see what all the middle schoolers are talking about. The film “LIKE” is coming to Pathfinder thanks to a collaboration between our PTSA and South Seattle College Coop Preschool! LIKE is an Indie Flix Original documentary that explores the impact of social media on our lives. The goal of this film is to inspire people of all ages, especially kids, to self regulate. Technology is a tool, and by understanding the effects of technology and social media on the brain, on our lives and on our civilization, we can learn how to navigate it more safely together.
Our middle school students watched the film today during school. Parents and the broader West Seattle community are invited to come see it tomorrow evening. Following the film, our middle school counselor, Susanne Paris, will lead a discussion. All the details are on our website.

Party Gras Auction & Dinner – March 14th!
Last Week to Buy Auction Tickets! Laissez les bon temps rouler! This is the final week to buy your Auction tickets for Pathfinder’s biggest party and fundraiser of the year! Money raised from the event will directly support programming (Science Fair, Field Day, Garden), instructional supports, and our beloved camping program!

Calling All Auction Volunteers! March 2nd, 6-8pm in the Library We are in the final stages of preparing for Party Gras and will be hosting a volunteer training to ensure you’re prepped for your roles and to answer any questions you might have before the big event. If you’re interested in helping but haven’t signed up yet, please come! We still have areas of need. As a reminder, volunteers will receive a volunteer meal the night of the auction, a paddle to participate in the auction, and our endless gratitude! Where There’s A Will There’s A Way Award Nominations Every year we honor a teacher, staff member, or volunteer from the Pathfinder community that does an extra extraordinary job of helping our children learn and develop “in the spirit of Pathfinder”. If you have someone in mind, please fill out a nomination form, which can be found in the main office.
Spring Music Concerts
The March music concert will occur on Tuesday, March 10th, at the Pathfinder Cafeteria from 2:00-3:00 pm and Thursday, March 12th, at Chief Sealth High School Auditorium from 6:30-8:15 pm. Come one, come all to hear our awesome kids!
Do you keep track of how many absences your Pathfinder student has had so far this year? Help us reach our whole school goal of having as many students as possible with 10 or fewer full day absences by the end of the school year. Want to check on how many days you’ve missed? Heads Up During School Dismissal
Our safety committee is looking out for us. They want to ensure a safe and timely dismissal environment. Please allow space for all students to pass through the building as they leave for the day. Let’s work together to ensure that everyone helps keep foot traffic flowing by waiting off to the sides of the halls, and assisting each other by holding the doors open for each other at the front of our school. Please remind your kiddos to walk, respect others, and be aware of the space around them. Thank you for your support!
Help Wanted for Sharing the Gift
Sharing the Gift is one of Pathfinder’s oldest and most beloved traditions. Each spring, we dedicate three Friday afternoons (May 1st, 8th and 15th), to learning a new skill from adults in our school community. We are looking for volunteers that can commit to sharing a talent all three weeks. Use your imagination and Share a Gift you love!
