Elders Lunch Needs Your Help—
THIS Friday, November 22nd

We need people to help make the event run smoothly, especially in the afternoon from noon until 2 or so. Please consider staying after your special kiddos lunch to help out. We need help checking people in, serving dessert, and assisting with clean up. Sign up here

The Wreath Workshop is Open!

There are many ways to be a part of this community building fundraiser. Currently we need greens and wreath makers. We’ll be selling wreaths at Elders Lunch and at the next two farmer’s markets and need something to sell. The workshop is always open. The only reserved times are for class nights. If the workshop is locked, ask at the front office or text the number on the door for the combination. Be sure to lock up when you leave. Here’s a link to sign up

Look at our website for all the details: We still need a greens collection coordinator, a farmers market lead, and preorder wreath makers. Contact Karen Stone at: for more info and to volunteer!

Scholastic Book Fair
December 2nd-6th

Join us for the Scholastic Book Fair, December 2nd-6th. The fair will be open before and after school. New this year is the ability to create a digital wallet that your student can use when they come to book fair during their regular library time. Also new this year, you can shop online if you aren’t able to make it to the fair. You will also have the opportunity to round up to donate to “All for Books” to ensure every student that wants a book can get one! Go to and search for Pathfinder to set up an eWallet or shop online – over 6,000 products that ship directly to your home. Proceeds from the fair will support the new makerspace in the library.

Craft Fair December 13th

Get your crafting on! It’s that time of year to sign up for a booth to sell your wears at our annual craft fair. Forms and instructions went home with kids last week. They are due back by December 9th. If you need a form, they are outside of the main office. Blazing Trails is taking the lead, so look for info on their bulletin board and contact Rita or Mckinsey at: or 206-937-5160 with questions, comments, or concerns.

November 21st Showing of Screenagers—Next Chapter

Chief Sealth PTSA is hosting a showing of Screenagers—The Next Chapter (part II) November 21st at 7:30pm in the Chief Sealth Auditorium. Please rsvp using this link, so they have an idea of how many to expect:

Save the Date—March 14th!

Save the date for Pathfinder’s biggest – and most important—party of the year: Our Annual Auction! This year’s theme is Mardi Gras! Tickets go on sale in January, but you can start planning now.

In Search of Group Event Hosts

Group Events are sign-ups for various experiences hosted by parents and staff members that happen all year. They range from kid-events like David’s Famous Sleepover to adult-events like Book Lovers Gone Wild!. These are ideas that hosts dream up to share with the community, and make money for the school. If you have an idea for a group event, we would love to hear from you! Group Events need to be put on the calendar and sent out in January, so now is the time! Email Carrie Posey at
