Benefits of a K-8 Education

The benefits of a K-8 education are community-based. Students and families remain at the school longer for a stronger community bond. Students attending a K-8 program during their middle school years receive more individualized attention due to the smaller class size and the middle schoolers are offered more expeditionary opportunities as a whole class via field trips and camping trips that provide additional time to bond and connect with each other.

Further benefits to the K-8 education include a strong student-teacher relationship, two-year, multi-age or team taught classrooms, Buddy programs extending from pairing up older with younger kids and general education kids with students in the autism classrooms and opportunities for students to work as teacher’s assistants.
