Volunteer Your Talents or Time

Hello, my name is Lashanna.  This year, our last at Pathfinder, I have the wonderful honor of being your Volunteer Fairy again. Pathfinder is a magical place for families and well, volunteer hours are a big part of why and how.

Would you consider volunteering 2 hours a month?

If you make that personal commitment and i’ll help you achieve it by providing numerous opportunities each month. There are things that you can do in school, from home, from work *haha*, on a computer, off a computer, in nature and far from it!  Basically, there IS something for you.

Please click this link, — > Volunteer Sign up < —  sign up to volunteer and i’ll email you with opportunities.  If you don’t see anything on the list that speaks to you, call, text or email me and we will get it on there!

I am excited to volunteer with you.

Mad love and appreciation,

New Volunteer Requests

Auction Chair
We need YOU to get the magic started! Several positions are already filled and we just need a leader to get things rolling.  This is an amazing opportunity to get involved in our community and have a lot of fun—especially if you co-chair it with a friend. The auction is a big part of the PTSA’s annual income and without it we wouldn’t be able to fund several of the programs that help support our school so we need YOU to say YES.
Please contact Co-PTSA Presidents (and last year’s auction co-chairs) Ginny Woo and Laura Murray at president@pathfinderk8ptsa.org for more info.

Direct Give Communications Volunteer

Pathfinder PTSA’s Direct Give is right around the corner (October 4-20), and we are looking for someone who can help spread the word via blog posts and social media. Help tell the story about how the PTSA funds important and enriching work throughout the school. Our goal is $25,000 this year, and we believe that stories that connect the donations to the kids and school will help increase family participation. Estimated time commitment: 6-10 hours.

Class Coordinators
Creating community within each classroom is a big part of what makes our school thrive—parents knowing parents—and the class coordinator can be a big part of making that happen. Duties include: Creating a contact list for your classroom, organizing your classroom’s Wreath Night, Class Auction Art and Staff Appreciation Week (which can be delegated to other parents in the classroom), communicating PTSA news and supporting the teacher as needed.
Please contact our Lead Class Coordinator at classcoordinator@pathfinderk8ptsa.org for more information.
Classes needing coordinators:
K/1—Bat, Turtle, Otter
2/3: Frog, Octopus, Spider
4/5: Eagle, Kingfisher
6th: Falcon, Raven
7th: Bear, Coyote
Self-Contained: Fox

Communications Chair
The Communications Chair helps to keep Pathfinder PTSA’s communication to the community streamlined, accurate and welcoming. Along with a team of parent volunteers who organize events, the PTSA Board and content managers, the Chair keeps communications humming along. If you enjoy posting to social media, if you know WordPress or would like to learn how to use it (it’s super friendly), this may be the role for you. Contact Gillian Maguire for more information: communications@pathfinderk8ptsa.org.
